Construction Software That Works with ChatGPT, Claude and Copilot (MCP Servers)
Short answer: as of November 2026, Kencopa, EarthCam, Revizto, Pirros and Contractors Cloud have live MCP connections that let ChatGPT, Claude or Copilot work with their construction data. Planera has announced one, Procore uses MCP to pull subcontractor prequal scores from Compass, and Autodesk plans to let firms plug their own MCP servers into its Assistant in 2027.
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the open standard that lets an AI assistant plug into business software. For a builder it means asking the assistant your office already uses a question, like “what’s driving the critical path?” or “did the rebar delivery show up?”, and getting the answer from the live system instead of an export. Each row links to the Daily Punchlist issue that covered it, or to the vendor\u2019s own announcement.
| Software | Data it opens up | Works with | What the assistant can do | Access controls | Status | Coverage |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Kencopa | Construction schedules | Microsoft Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT | Read and edit schedules, e.g. push a pour three days and report the impact on completion | Admins turn read and write access on or off by data type | Official MCP server, live | Issue #18 |
| Planera | CPM schedules | Claude, ChatGPT and other assistants | Answer questions about live schedules, like which projects are at risk or what drives the critical path | Not yet published | Announced Oct 28, 2026; no release date | Issue #14 |
| EarthCam | Jobsite camera imagery and AI detections | ChatGPT (app), Claude (connector); can be added to Gemini, Copilot, Perplexity | Answer questions from detections EarthCam already ran, with links to timestamped images | Answers checkable against images, timestamps and metadata | Live | Issue #6 |
| Revizto | BIM coordination issues, clashes and model properties | Claude, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, private LLMs | Read issues, clashes and model and object properties, summarize blockers; add comments and update issues | Account admins activate the MCP app; the assistant sees only what the signed-in user can access | Live since July 2026 | Revizto announcement |
| Pirros | Firm library of Revit details and families | Claude (incl. Claude Code), ChatGPT, Cursor, Codex | Search details and families, flag near-duplicates, show nesting and revision history; cannot edit models | Per-tool credentials scoped by workspace and read/write/download; everyone on a credential gets its full reach | Live | Issue #3 |
| Contractors Cloud | Roofing and exteriors CRM | Claude and other MCP clients | Create projects, file invoices, draft supplements, material and crew work orders | Agents work with each user’s existing app permissions | Live | Issue #4 |
| Procore + Compass | Subcontractor prequalification | Procore (platform-to-platform) | Procore pulls a sub’s Q score and prequal results | Subs’ raw financial data stays on Compass servers | Live | Issue #2 |
| Autodesk Assistant | Autodesk products | Autodesk’s own models, Claude, OpenAI or open-weight models | Assistant Builder lets firms plug their own AI and MCP servers into Autodesk Assistant | Pricing not yet clear | Expected 2027 | Issue #2 |

FAQ
- What is an MCP server in construction software?
- MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that lets AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Claude and Microsoft Copilot connect to business software. A construction vendor that ships an MCP server lets your assistant read, and sometimes change, data like schedules, camera detections or Revit families without exporting spreadsheets.
- Which construction scheduling software works with ChatGPT or Claude?
- Kencopa has an official MCP server that lets Copilot, Claude or ChatGPT read and edit schedules. Planera announced an MCP integration for live CPM schedules on Oct 28, 2026, without a release date.
- Can I ask ChatGPT or Claude about my jobsite cameras?
- Yes, with EarthCam. Its MCP connectors are available as an app in ChatGPT and a connector in Claude, and answers link back to timestamped images.
- Can I connect Claude or ChatGPT to my BIM coordination issues?
- Yes, with Revizto. Its MCP server, launched in July 2026, lets Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot or a private LLM read issues, clashes and model properties and update issues, limited to what the signed-in user can already see. An account admin has to activate it first.
- Is it safe to give an AI assistant write access to project data?
- Start read-only. Kencopa lets admins switch read and write access by data type, and Pirros scopes each assistant credential by workspace and permission. Pirros warns that everyone sharing a credential gets that credential’s full reach, so check scoping with IT before switching it on.
- Does Procore have an MCP integration?
- Procore pulls subcontractor Q scores and prequal results from Bespoke Metrics’ Compass through an MCP connection, so the subs’ financial data stays on Compass servers.
