Privacy policy

Last updated: October 17, 2026

This policy explains what information The Daily Punchlist ("we", "us") collects when you visit dailypunchlist.com or subscribe to the newsletter, and how we use it.

What we collect

  • Your email address, when you sign up. We use double opt-in: you are only added to the list after you click the confirmation link we send you.
  • Optional profile answers: your role (for example general contractor or VDC/BIM) and your US state, if you choose to answer after confirming.
  • Signup context: the page you signed up from, the referring website, and any campaign (UTM) tags in the link you followed. This tells us which pages and channels bring readers.
  • Email engagement: our email provider may record whether an email was delivered, opened or clicked.
  • Basic technical data: like most websites, our hosting provider processes IP addresses and request logs to serve the site, keep it secure and prevent abuse.

How we use it

We use this information to send you the newsletter and related service emails (such as the confirmation and welcome emails), to understand which content and channels are useful, and to improve the briefing. We may report aggregated, non-identifying audience statistics (for example, the share of readers who work at general contractors) to sponsors.

Service providers

  • Resend stores the subscriber list and delivers our emails.
  • Vercel hosts the website and runs the signup functions.

These providers process data on our behalf to provide their services.

What we don't do

We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share your email address with sponsors or advertisers.

Unsubscribing and your choices

Every newsletter email has an unsubscribe link, and you can unsubscribe at any time. To ask us to access, correct or delete the information we hold about you, email hello@dailypunchlist.com.

Retention

We keep your subscriber record while you are subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we may keep your email address on a suppression list so we don't email you again. We delete it on request.

Children

The Daily Punchlist is a professional newsletter and is not directed at children under 16.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date above. Material changes will be announced in the newsletter.
