Good morning, it's Wednesday, November 4, and this is The Daily Punchlist. Hump day. The slab doesn't care, it cures on its own schedule.

Today's theme is catching problems early. AI is checking drawings before they hit the field, and robots are getting signed up for the floor work that comes after.

In today's issue

1. Archiboost raises $6.2M to catch drawing errors before the field does

Archiboost, an AI platform that reviews construction documents for errors, omissions and coordination issues, raised $6.2 million in pre-seed and seed funding led by Hanabi Capital and Marathon Venture Capital. It says it has reviewed more than 550,000 drawing sheets across $3.5 billion in projects. Next up is a construction administration agent that pulls drawings and specs from Autodesk Construction Cloud and Procore.

The fine print: Archiboost says it surfaced up to six times as many issues as manual QA/QC and that teams saw up to 70% fewer coordination problems in the field. Those are the company's own numbers.

Why it matters: Every bust caught on paper is a change order nobody has to fight about. The cheapest RFI is the one you never write.

2. Fangshi Robotics signs on to robot floors for a Chinese mega-builder

Beijing-based Fangshi Robotics launched 10 construction robots and a common robot platform at the Wuhan intelligent construction expo, Oct 27-29. It also signed a strategic deal with China Construction Third Engineering Bureau to supply robot sets for concrete floor leveling, interior painting and floor tile laying. Fangshi says its robots have worked on more than 500 projects covering 15 million square meters.

Why it matters: Slabs, paint and tile are where robots are showing up first, because the work is flat, repetitive and hard on knees. Floor guys, keep an eye on this one.

3. nCircle Tech lets site staff build their own apps by describing them

nCircle Tech launched nVibe, an AI platform where site managers, project engineers and VDC leads describe a workflow in plain language and it builds the app. It knows terms like WBS codes, CSI MasterFormat, RFIs and submittals, and connects to Autodesk tools, SAP and other ERPs. Example uses include clash-tracking dashboards, commissioning checklists and daily labor and safety trackers.

Why it matters: Half the jobsite runs on a spreadsheet one guy built in 2014. If the PE can build a real tracker in an afternoon, IT gets a say in it before it goes rogue.

4. Autom8Labs gives AI agents a method, not just access

Autom8Labs released 22 free "skills" that walk an AI agent through tasks the way an experienced pro would, working alongside its connectors for Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Civil 3D and more. Most are for Revit, including family creation, scan-to-BIM, model health, MEP and coordination. "The MCP Connectors give your AI agent the tools. Skills give it the method," said James Gray of Autom8Labs.

Why it matters: Handing a new hire the keys to Revit doesn't make him a modeler. Same goes for a bot. Somebody still has to teach the steps.

The Daily Old Joke

My buddies don't believe I can make cement. They keep asking for concrete evidence.

Tool of the day: Track3D

Track3D turns jobsite photos and 360 captures into measured progress data, showing what got installed, where and how much. Hensel Phelps used it on a $300M connector project at San Francisco International Airport and has since signed an enterprise deal to bring it to more than 200 active projects, per a Nov 3 Construction Owners interview with Track3D CEO NK Chaitanya (https://www.constructionowners.com/news/a-smoke-alarm-for-the-jobsite-track3ds-nk-chaitanya-on-automated-progress-tracking). https://dailypunchlist.com/tools/reality-capture/track3d/ · https://track3d.ai
